Oven, carpet and upholstery cleaning Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire

Ovens

How often should I have my oven cleaned?

Entirely up to you. Most commonly our customers have their oven cleaned every 6 months, however some like to call on us every 3-4 months and others only need us once a year.

Can you clean ‘self-cleaning’ ovens?

Yes, many ovens have self-clean interiors and/or liners. These coatings are designed to burn off debris, however over time these also need attention. Our fully trained technicians will adapt the cleaning process according to your appliance.

Do you carry spare parts?

Our technicians carry oven and extractor bulbs, filters and universal seals, however if you know that your oven requires a minor part that we’re not likely to carry, please contact us and we will confirm if we can source and fit the part for you during your oven clean appointment.

Where will you clean my oven?

Your oven will not be moved, however we will be taking your racks and grill trays outside to be cleaned in our dip tray. The rest of your oven will be cleaned in situ, but rest assured we will cover the floor around the oven, and will not be making a mess in your kitchen.

How quickly afterwards can I use my oven?

Straight away, although our customers often tell us they’ll be on salad for the foreseeable, as they don’t want to make it dirty again! As all our cleaning products are eco-friendly, non caustic and non toxic, you can get your next meal straight in the oven.

How and when do I pay?

We take payment on the day, once the work is completed, either by cash or credit/debit card.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured.

What hours/days do you work?

We work Monday to Saturday, and have a number of appointment slots during the day. We will confirm an approximate arrival time to within one hour.

Carpets

How long will my carpets take to dry?

Every carpet varies depending on the fabric composition and weave, however the average time is 1-2 hours.

How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

Most manufacturers recommend that carpets are professionally cleaned by a qualified technician every 12-18 months. Carpets should be cleaned on a regular basis and before they become heavily soiled. Allowing soil to build up will significantly reduce the life of a carpet.

Can you remove every stain?

Whilst we will always do our utmost to remove every stain, this is not always possible as some stains can permanently damage the carpet fibres and no amount of specialist cleaning will remove it. Our promise to you, is that on arrival at your home, if we advise you that the stain is not removable and you decide not to proceed, we will not charge you a penny!

I have children and pets – how long do I need to keep them away from the areas cleaned?

All of our cleaning products have been tested to ensure they are not only eco-friendly but also safe for occupants of the areas in which they are used. We would recommend that you stay off your carpets until they are fully dry, but purely to avoid slip and fall hazards.

Do I have to move furniture myself?

No, we are happy to move your furniture and return it to its place after the cleaning process is complete. We just ask that you move any small personal belongings or valuables prior to our arrival. The only items we prefer not to move are large sideboards/bookcases or similar and electronics.

Will the cleaning process affect the protector I have applied to my carpets?

It is important to note that protector will wear off of any carpet that is in use. Walking, vacuuming, general wear and cleaning will all have an effect on this. Carpet protectors shield the fibres. They are designed to prevent spillages, and general wear, affecting the carpet directly. However, in doing so, it will lose some of its effectiveness and should be re-applied on a regular basis to ensure continued protection.

What method do you use for cleaning carpets?

We use a hot water extraction system, combined with the highest quality eco-friendly cleaning solutions. This method is recommended by the world’s leading carpet manufacturers.
